Singham Returns First Trailer

Bollywood's box-office king Rohit Shetty is back with his Golmaal pair -- Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor. The first trailer of Singham Returns was launched along with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya.

In true Rohit Shetty style, this one too promises more of the same -- cars flying, high-pace action and lots of over-the-top drama. Even Ajay Devgn looks the same in the trailer. Sample this:  "Jisme hai dum, to fakt Bajirao Singham". The sequel has one addition: Anupam Kher.

Interestingly, Amol Gupte plays the villain in Singham Returns -- he plays a corrupt religious 'baba'.

If you loved the first Singham, you would surely fall for this one too. Sadly, that's not much of a commentary on your intelligence or the film's creativity!

First Look of 'Haider' launched in Mumbai

The first look of 'Haider', a Bollywood adaptation of Shakespeare's famous play, Hamlet, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj was launched by its actors, Shahid Kapoor, K. K. Menon, Tabu and Sharddha Kapoor, and UTV CEO, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, in Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, lead actor Shahid Kapoor expressed his happiness to be able to shoot the entire film in Kashmir.

"We were very lucky that we shot the entire film in Kashmir, so one stayed in that atmosphere throughout. There is a unique energy to Kashmir, which is difficult to describe. I think if we wouldn't have shot the entire film there we wouldn't have truly understood what we were doing. Being there, being in that atmosphere, and being with those people really helped to flow into the world one is trying to create and to bring it out to some extent," said Kapoor.

This film is the third adaptation of a Shakespearean play by Bhardwaj. Previously he has directed 'Omkara', which is an adaptation of Othello and 'Maqbool', which is an adaptation of Macbeth. Bhardwaj again through Haider tries to explore the conflict of human relationships and the negative aspects of it.

"I had Hamlet in my mind for quite some time. I had to complete my trilogy and needed commitment from an actor and before that I needed an actor. So, Shahid's work in 'Kaminey', and our rapport, and the work we had done together was a beautiful journey. So we had been meeting from a long time that we should do a film together. Haider's discussions happened and we found each other to commit to the film fully," said the director.

' Haider', is scheduled to hit the silver screens across the country on October 02, 2014.

Shah Rukh Khan chance to host Bigg Boss 8?

That actor Salman Khan is not hosting the upcoming season of the television reality show, Bigg Boss, is old news. What’s new,  however, is that the 48-year-old, who has been hosting the controversy drama for the past four seasons, is most likely being replaced by the other big KhanShah Rukh. While the host channel couldn’t be reached for confirmation, a source close to the channel reveals the inside story.

“Shah Rukh has been the channel’s favourite for quite some time now, and they are in talks with him,” says the source. While Shah Rukh’s spokesperson has brushed it aside as a rumour, our source says, “SRK has appeared thrice on comedian Kapil Sharma’s show and he even opened Anupam Kher’s chat show on the channel last week. They are also in talks with SRK to host an upcoming awards night.” Other reliable sources confirm that Salman is certainly not in the picture any more.

“Salman was unhappy since last season itself, because he felt that people were blaming him for the mistakes committed by others on the show, and he had several disagreements with the channel on the stand he wanted to take on certain matters,” adds the source. In an earlier interview with us, Salman had admitted that he “doesn’t follow a script” as a host. Last season, Salman faced flak for supporting contestants Tanishaa Mukherji and Armaan Kohli, and rebuking winner Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon on several occasions, to the extent of #unfairSalman trending on Twitter. Meanwhile, former contestants aren’t happy with this developement.

“If Salman doesn’t host the show, it’ll go off air within a season. Shah Rukh may be great but he will not be able handle things like Salman,” says wrestler and ex-contestant Sangram Singh. VJ Andy, too, agrees. “Salman doesn’t care about popular opinion. He stands up for what he believes is fair,” he says.

Gay couple in the house

Having married or even divorced couples in the show isn’t new. This time around, however, there’s strong buzz that the producers are trying to rope in a gay couple. “They’ve already approached several celebrity gay couples, including a Delhi-based fashion designer couple, but are yet to finalise,” says a source.

When a diamond necklace came a-calling for Katrina Kaif

Not too long back, rumour mills were buzzing with news of Katrina Kaif having been gifted a diamond necklace by the makers of Fitoor after agreeing to be a part of the film.

While this is yet to be established, reports claims that the actress did take some time deciding whether or not she wanted to do the film. And, so, in order to help her reach a conclusion sooner apparently gifted her a diamond-laden necklace.

Katrina, reportedly hesitant at first, soon succumbed. Who, after all, can resist the shine of these shiny stones? Her co-stars in the film are Rekha and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Police to summon Ness Wadia over ex-girlfriend Preity Zinta’s molestation charges

Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia‘s battle turned ugly after the actress accused the business tycoon of physically abusing her in public during an IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. The actress went on seek the help of police as she filed a complaint against her former beau Ness alleging that he not only behaved inappropriately with her in public but was also screaming abuses to her in front of the team. When Ness was informed about this case, he however claimed in a statement that he was shocked by these allegations.
Amidst the ongoing blame games, Preity took to Twitter and wrote an open letter to the public and media saying, “I may not be super wealthy and powerful but I have truth by my side and I’ve worked very hard all my life and tried to earn respect for myself as a self made professional. It saddens me that no one at work or around ever stood up for me in the past when I was abused and insulted publicly. This time I was left with no option but to take this stern step as this incident happened in front of way too many people.
Sometimes we are so ashamed and humiliated that we fool ourselves to believe that no one saw what happened. Everyone always looks away as if they don’t exist or then we don’t exist. People are embarrassed just enough to look away, but not too embarrassed to intervene.
Ironically what happened at Wankade is being diluted by every other fabricated story about my character except the truth of what happened. I’m sure the witnesses will speak the truth and I trust and believe that the police will do their job fairly and quickly.
No woman likes to be involved in a controversy like this which makes her open and vulnerable for all to take a dig at. I have worked for over 15 years in the film industry and have never been subject to such humiliating behaviour and for that I really want to thank all the men that worked with me. Through all our highs and lows my head was always held high.
Every human being has a limit to how much they can take ; some of us foolishly call it strength and try to look ahead focusing on the positives of work and life. All these years I have never said anything about him in the media but now I have no choice.
I humbly request the media and my supporters to please focus on the issue and the incident that happened in Wankade and not turn this and me into a TV
